Multiplying Fractions
The prophets and priests that are godless used one fifth pieces of steel and two fourths pieces of cobalt. They desired to use alloys. Also, the prophets and priests that are not godless wanted to use two thirds pieces of steel for the temple. Find the total by multiplying the steel and cobalt used by the prophets and priests that are godless and the prophets and priests that are not godless.
Solution of the example
multiply the numerators from fractions 1/5, 2/4, and 2/3. 1 x 2 x 2, then multiply the denominators 5 x 4 x 3. Next, we will simplify the fractions by canceling like terms. we will make the denominators simplified. the denominator four can be simplified as two multiplied by two. 1 x 2 x 2 / 5 x (2 x 2) x 3. the twos in the numerator and the denominator cancel out. The fractions are now 1 / 5 x 3, the answer is 1 / 15.
